would it be cheaper to build a nitro car/buggy from scratch or just buy 1?
for christmas im going to get a backdraft 3.5 which costs £190 but if i bought some nitro parts and put them together would it be cheaper

Rc Nitro Traxxas T-Maxx, Revo or Jato?
I am currently looking at a nitro car/truck and have narrowed my search down to these three which seem to have the best reviews and the most readily available spare parts. This will be my first Rc Nitro vehicle however i have had a reasonable amount of experience flying Rc heli's and Rc planes. I am open to answers and other car suggestions if people think my choice of nitro's are not the right ones. However i do live in australia and would prefer to buy a car that is sold in australia as to save the hassle of importing one from overseas. Any help would be greatlappreciateded. Thanks :)

How to test the speed of an RC Nitro Car?
Hi, I have an Ansmann Virus 2.0 RC nitro car.
It says on the box that this car has a top speed of 70 kmh (43 mph).
I have run the engine in properly and had the engine tuned by a "professional" and also have some excellent road tyres but I am quite sure that this car is not doing anywhere near 40 mph. I know that it is difficult to tell because it is obviously alot smaller than an ordinary car but is there a way (without buying a speed gun) that I can get a good idea of how fast this thing goes?
