how can i put a dc motor that comes from a rc. car, onto a specifically carved wood or the legs of a tripod?
i plan on making a custom made rc rock crawler because, i can't afford one of them hundred dollar ones. the way i plan on making it is by using 4 dc motors and placing them on either the tripod legs or carved wood for the chassis.as for the transmitter and Receiver,im using 2 rc vehicles and striping out everything but the wheels.axle, and the circuit boards.anyways...anyone know a way this could happen they'll cost me 70 bucks or less.

RC Vehicle Controls Question?
I'm making a..well it's not exactly a car but that doesn't matter. I was wondering that if I get a 5GHz antenna for the remote control, what transmitter will i need? I'm a newbie RC hobbyist so I don't really know what needs to be done to get the controller to communicate with the motor and other parts. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can you use capacitors in place of batteries?
Hey guys.
I'm new to the whole electronic engineering scene, and I have some experiments I'd like to work on concerning RC vehicles. Because batteries take a long time to charge, I was looking for a new way to provide power to a small RC car, so there's more driving and less waiting. I cracked open one of my old zip zap rc cars, and the power source appeared to be, not a battery, but a small capacitor. However, I'm not sure if it was, so I want to know if that little power source was indeed a capacitor. If it is, do you guys think that the capacitor could be scaled up to, say, a 1/10 scale hobby rc car to reduce charge time? Details would be nice if you can give any (run time, charge time, etc.)
